AJJ Glass Services

To produce the high quality glass components required AJJ Glass has invested in computerised machinery to complement our long serving skilled workforce. Our aim is to produce accurate and repeatable components at realistic prices.

Our
processing glass to meet the highest standards.

CNC Cutting
Large sheets of glass are cut to size on our CNC controlled cutting tables. Either rectangles or curved shapes can be accurately cut to the customer’s instructions.

High Quality Edgework
A choice of linished, ground or
polished edges is available. With our double edging lines to process rectangular glasses and fully computerised shape grinding machinery we cover all requirements. The shape grinding machines use the same computer programmes as the cutting tables to ensure accuracy.

Drilling
The accuracy of drilled holes is paramount when the glasses are to be assembled with other components. Our machinery has been chosen to ensure that holes are correctly positioned.

Mitering

Brilliant cutting

Our brilliant cutting facilities are computer controlled for maximum accuracy and batch consistency. Beautiful curves, simple straight lines, or a combination of both are cut into the glass to enhance the appearance of any furniture.

Bevelling

Printing

A wide range of colourful printed effects can be achieved, offering endless opportunities to the creative designer.

Silk screen printed ceramic colours are fired into the surface of the glass during the toughening process. This produces a permanent bond between the colour and the glass. Mirrors are printed using epoxy colours.

Our in-house screen making and colour matching services ensure consistent quality across batches and provide a sampling facility to assist with new product development.

Sandblasting
Our automatic horizontal sandblasting machine produces an even obscuration of a glass surface.

Acidetching

Toughening
Glass is toughened to GB/T 9963-1998,ASTM C1048 and BS6206 standards in our in house Glass Toughening Furnace. The glass is heated to 630 deg C and then rapidly chilled in our computer controlled equipment. See the section on
Toughened glass for more information.
